Mashhad-Sarkhs-Tajn started working with the presence of leaders and representatives of more than one hundred countries. Sarkhes Special Economic Zone was established according to the approval letter No. 40102\/T 16466 K dated 1\/26\/1375 of the Supreme Council of Free Zones with an area of 5200 hectares at the zero point of the border with Turkmenistan and near the city of Sarkhes.
